Boggy Creek, a tributary of the Colorado River, is located in the southeastern portion of the City of Austin. The Creek has a drainage area of 12.8 square miles. The watershed has a maximum length of 5.7 miles and a maximum width of 3.9 miles. It has a history of flooding (1960, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1979). These papers relate to the efforts by Senator J.J. Pickle to minimize the impact of flooding in the watershed area and to create nature and hike and bike trails.
